The process for establishing a web site is as follows:

Concept

This allows us to think about your ideas and requirements and then create “Web Comps”, which are mock-ups of web page layouts, concepts, colour combinations, styles and functionality for you to consider.

Design

Let us know what aspects you like and what you don’t and Galway Web and Design will make the necessary changes to suite your requirements. The new designs are then approved by yourselves. Creating the website now begins.

Development

After you have approved the look and feel, the artwork is then coded in order to view the site online and the navigational menus are then designed. SEO – The site is optimised with the basic requirements to make it search engine friendly.

Notes

Static and Dynamic are terms that you will hear a lot, and are basically the two main approaches when building a web site. Static simply means that the information that makes up the website doesn’t change, and dynamic means that the data or content can change ‘dynamically’.

Domain

A domain is in effect an internet street address. The domain has to be registered and purchased and can have any title within reason, providing it does not exist anywhere else. The domain address would be in the form of www.yourname.com.

Hosting

Web hosting is a type of Internet hosting service that allows organizations to make their own website accessible via the Web. Web hosts are companies that provide space on a server they own or lease for use by their clients.
